The descending sun, the ascending moon,
The confused sky making hundreds of hues,
The cold air with the warm perfume,
The light and the dark playing on a tune,
Reality-blend.
The relationship once cherished,
The letting go, the emotional pain,
The gloomy heart, yet , the insight gained,
The clarity of why(s) and wants,
Reality-check.
The long-held dream, unachieved,
The new aspirations, the different passions,
The emerging ambition, the fresh enthusiasm,
Reality-bloom.
The loved ones we lost,
Facing life’s impermanence,
The legacy we always look to,
The introspection of our own life too,
Reality-hit.
The welcoming of a newborn,
The year-long wishes we hold,
The unmatched love, the tales retold,
New visions, joy, delight,
Reality-heartfelt.
The mirror shows on a relaxed day,
The discovered new creases and furrows,
The aging conflict of mind and body,
The laugh with a wrinkle, the wisdom gained,
Reality-unfold.
